A topic of interest for Caitlin is to be an ally for Indigenous communities. Her current practicum with Connective involves writing blog posts for Indigenous History Month and has previously completed her Indigenous Canada certification through University of Alberta.
Previously, Caitlin has taught one-on-one music lessons to students aged 3-18 in piano, trumpet and clarinet. Caitlin has her Jazz and Contemporary Studies diploma from Vancouver Community College. She was also first clarinet for the Fraser Valley Community Winds and has played in various jazz bands and musical theatre pit bands.
With goals to research various topics surrounding Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Caitlin has debuted contributions to Autism research with a directed study in Autism representation in media and class projects surrounding ideas of common research topics before and since the COVID-19 pandemic. Future research surrounds the 2SLGTBQIA+ community and topics of intimacy and wellness for people with ASD.
